A Haiku for the Eleventh Day of Christmas
Sound the pipes: Lilting
melodies celebrate these
penultimate cuts.
This has been a lot of fun but I am ready to be finished. 🙂
Tomorrow we’ll have the complete mosaic, individual photos of all twelve pieces, and a special surprise. Thanks for hanging in there with me—and excusing the poor physics on display by the pipers. Hands are hard!

Almighty God, you have poured upon us the new light of your incarnate Word: Grant that this light, enkindled in our hearts, may shine forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Finest Hour by Jimmy Smith
Pipes -> organ was my association here, but of course Jimmy Smith didn’t play the pipe organ. Album’s a nice mix of blues and soul classics. There’s even a Sermon.
