“But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.” (Matthew 5:37, WEB)
Have you ever made an idol out of indecision? I have.
I called myself “thoughtful,” when I was actually being avoidant.
I called myself “careful,” when I was actually being timid.
I called myself, “responsible,” and then too often failed to respond.
Not all the time, but enough. God, give me wisdom to tell the difference.
And give me the courage to go.

Stir up your power, O Lord, and with great might come among us; and, because we are sorely hindered by our sins, let your bountiful grace and mercy speedily help and deliver us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen.
